Cate Blanchett

Catherine Élise "Cate" Blanchett, nada o 14 de maio de 1969 en Melbourne, é unha actriz australiana. Acadou a fama internacional polo seu papel de Sabela I de Inglaterra no filme de 1998 ''Elizabeth''. Blanchett interpreta a raíña elfa Galadriel na triloxía de Peter Jackson ''The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring'', ''The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers'' e ''The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King'' dende o 2001 ata o 2003, e retomará o mesmo papel en ''Hobbit''. En 2004 Blanchett encarnou a Katharine Hepburn no filme de Martin Scorsese ''The Aviator''. Os seus últimos traballos son ''Babel'' (2006), ''Notes on a Scandal'' (2006), ''Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'' (2008), e ''O curioso caso de Benjamin Button'' (2008).
