Item Description:Based on the "Compendio della storia geografica, naturale, e civile del regno del Chile" which appeared anonymously in 1776. cf. Coleccin̤ de historiadores de Chile, v. 11. introd., and v. 26, p. 105.
A companion volume, "Saggio sulla storia civile del Chili," was published in 1787. In later translations the two works are issued as one work in two parts.
