Description
Item Description:Issued in three series. Series 1, issued 1930-1934, was so designated only after publication. Series 2 was issued 1935-1941. Series 3, publication began 1943.
Series 1 and 2 issued originally by the Congregatio pro Ecclesia Orientali. Some volumes reissued by the Pontificia Commissio ad Redigendum Codicem Iuris Canonici Orientalis. Series 3 issued by the latter body. (v. 14 ff. issued under its later name, Pontificia Commissio Codici Iuris Canonici Orientalis Recognoscendo).
Title information is presented confusingly on title pages, especially in later volumes of series 1 and 2, as though "Codificazione ..." might be some sort of subdivision of the Oriental Congregation, with the title of the publication being simply "Fonti."" Then with series 3, and reissues of volumes from series 1 and 2, "Codificazione ..." is omitted and the title is given simply as "Fontes." (contd.)
(contd.) But the title of the work has been usually cited as Codificazione ..." (cf. e.g. A. Cicognani, Canon law, p. 207, and OCLC catalog records.)
In series 1 and 2, the individual complete volumes were designated by the publisher as "fascicolo 1 [2, etc.]."
Includes indexes at various points.
