Plates originally produced in 1611 for Nucleus emblematum selectissimorum, quae Itali vulgo impresas vocant by Gabriel Rollenhagen and Crispijn van de Passe [the Elder]. Marian Library copy lacks title page, portrait of Rollenhagen, preface, and other front matter. Original plate numbers marked out and rennumbered by hand.
Includes 63 hand-drawn miniature roundels in ink, sometimes colored and captioned, inserted on the blank verso of the first six leaves.
