總結:The diagnosis of a chronic illness can bring on a multitude of psychosocial stressors and challenges for pediatric patients and their families. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of yoga as a complementary therapy method on pain management, anxiety, and overall empowerment in pediatric patients diagnosed with a chronic illness. This study explores 10 pre- existing research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of yoga as a therapy intervention. Findings of the study demonstrated that yoga as a complementary therapy option, to some degree, could be both an acceptable and beneficial intervention for pediatric chronic illness patients. However, further research, including larger sample sizes and a greater range of chronic illnesses, should be conducted to better understand to what degree a yoga intervention could be impactful.
