| Summary: | This set was used by Sister Judine Limmex, who taught as a member of the Edgewood College faculty during the 1960s in such courses as Physical Elements of Geography with Laboratory, and Geography of Wisconsin. Although no markings can be found on the box or instruments, our research found similar sets that were made in Germany by the August Lingke Company during the last quarter of the 19th century. Archives records indicate Sister Judine had a Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin as well as additional graduate study at UW. Her last year on the college faculty (1968-69), was the first year that these courses at Edgewood were listed under the Department of Geo-Sciences.
