Rather than a straight translation, as described in the bibliographies, this appears to be an adaptation with commentary of Pedro Gobeo de Victoria's brief account of his experiences (published in Seville in 1610), variously known as Su naufragio y viaje en la costa del Piru or Naufragio y peregrinacion de Pedro Gobeo de Vitoria. Dedication to Ferdinandus Laurentius, count of Wartenberg; dedication to Joannes Samson, signed Ilibessus. Includes indexes. |
