The first manuscripts, Père Marquette's Illinois prayer book by Allouez, is now owned by J.L.H. Neilson; a facsimile of the manuscript was published in 1908 by the Quebec literary and historical society. The second manuscript, a Montagnais dictionary by Antoine Silvy, was, according to Sasseville, in the possession of John Neilson of Ste. Foye, son of Hon. John Neilson, when the present work was issued.
