| Item Description: | Added t.-p., engr. Book-plate of the Bibliotheca conventus monacensis ord. erem. S.P. Aug. The original work "Naufragio y peregrinacion de Pedro Gobeo de Vitoria, natural de Sevilla, escrito por él mismo ... En Sevilla por Clemente Hidalgo. Año 1610," is divided into eight books. A Latin translation by the author is mentioned by Antonio (Bibl. hisp. nova) as worthy to be published, but no printed edition of it is known. A German tr. from the Latin version appeared with title: Wunderbarliche vnd seltzame Raiss Dess Jungen vnd Edlen Herrn Petri de Victoria Auss Hispanien in das Königreich Peru. Von jhme selbst beschriben, vnnd von den Patribus der Societet Iesu deren Orthen in Europam geschickt. An jetzo auss dem Lateinischen Exemplar in die Teutsche Sprach versetzt.
