Baker; and closed files of student papers, grade records, and letters of recommendation. Background Starting as an instructor in economic history in 1931, and continuing until 1973, Wesley C. Bender served as a teacher of marketing and business administration at the University of Notre Dame who in 1943 became a full professor and head of the department.
