A collection of polemical sermons, defending the Catholic Church from Martin Luther and the Lutheran Church in Germany; they were first delivered by Neumayr in the Dom-Stiffts-Kirche in Augsburg and published individually by Crätz and Summer; the sermons were first published together in three volumes by Crätz and Sommer between 1757 and 1764. This is the second edition of the first two volumes. Engraved frontispiece portrait of Neumayr drawn by G.B. Götz and engraved by his son; signed: Göz Sen. et Jun. fec. Band 1 is paged continuously, but Band 2 has separate title pages with imprints and dates for each sermon and with separate pagination and signatures. Title page of Band 1 and 2 printed in red and black; printer's mark of Crätz below edition statement on title page. |
