Additionally, this volume ,,contains an excellent engraving of the Virgin, designed by José Guerrero and engraved by Thomás Suria. The last text pages discuss the image of the Virgin as a physical object, as a piece of art: the structure supproting her, the proportions of her face and body, the "paint", etc. Also inludes the engraved plate of "Iczotl. Palma Sylvestre, de que se sacó la materia del Ayáte de la Tilma de Juan Diego" [Woody plant from which the ayate for Juan Diego's tilma was made.] as well as second engrave plate "Edccsta lamina es solo para representar el viage o hilo de la costura de dos panos del Ayáte Guadelupano, como hoy existe 1787." Two other unusual aspects of the work are that it incorporates paragraphs in Nahuatl relating to the Virgin, copied from the manuscript text of 'Bachiller' Lasso de la Vega, and the final six leaves contain a indexed list of subscribers, which is rather unusual in mexican books.
